Reach for the Stars! — October 12, 2019
AWIS-GCH volunteered at the Reach for the Stars festival to help inspire middle school girls to pursue careers in STEM. Thank you to all who helped!
Project Cure — August 17, 2019
AWIS-GCH volunteered to help sort and assemble medical supplies for donation in developing countries. Thank you AWIS Outreach as well as all the volunteers who came to help!
Roadmap to Retirement — May 29, 2019
AWIS GCH participated in the “Roadmap to Retirement” financial planning workshop hosted on behalf of our chapter by Prudential Financial on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. It was a great learning experience for members, where questions from “What is a 401k?” to “How can I move my retirement accounts when I switch jobs?” were answered. Attendees enjoyed a three-course Latin American meal at Churrascos sponsored by Prudential Financial.
An important take away was that all retirement plans should be designed for the individual or family based on their goals. The best retirement plans are very specific to personal life goals.
