The AWIS Houston is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization represented by over 165 women and men members who are at different career levels (high school, undergraduates, graduates, and professionals) in diverse STEM fields. We have a large presence in the Houston Medical Center, including the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer, Baylor college of Medicine, Rice University, and Houston Methodist, to name a few, and we are expanding into the Oil & Gas area as well. Our mission is to support women in STEM in the Houston region by providing opportunities to participate in leadership and career development workshops, including networking opportunities that are valuable for career advancement.
