Black Women in Science and Engineering (BWISE) and AWIS GCH are partnering up for a joint Monthly Networking Event on December 8th 2016, 5.30-8.30 pm @ OKRA Charity Saloon!… And since it’s that time of the year, it will be an UGLY SWEATER PARTY! Time to bring your best (worst) sweater out, it needs to breathe! 🙂

This event will also hold a SILENT AUCTION benefiting AWIS GCH Programming, in particular, support student scholarships/awards.

In this regard, we are looking for donations of the following items for a silent auction:
– arts & crafts items (e.g. jewelry, scarves, pottery, paintings; handmade or store-bought)
– health & beauty (e.g. new cosmetic items, new or gently-used workout equipment)
– books (e.g. science-related, professional development, job hunting; physical or e-book)
– services (e.g. ask a professor or mentor to donate 1 hr of time to provide career advice, mentorship, paper review)
– gift cards (e.g. to restaurants, home improvement stores, craft stores, bookstores)
